Microsoft announced it has launched a new venture under the Artificial Intelligence for Good program
Continuing its innovation efforts, Microsoft has added a new initiative to the "Artificial Intelligence for Good / AI for Good" program. The initiative called Artificial Intelligence for Health, announced today, will support projects developed with the help of artificial intelligence to improve human health. The program will provide a total of $ 40 million in grants and technology assistance for 5 years. Artificial Intelligence for Health was developed with great privacy, security and ethical foundations, and was created in collaboration with the world's leading experts. Through the Artificial Intelligence initiative for health, Microsoft will develop strong collaborations with data scientists, NGOs and academia. The initiative, which will provide access to the most effective AI tools and cloud computing services, will also support identified projects with cash grants. Currently, only 5% of AI experts work in the field of health, and one of the most important goals of the initiative is to increase this rate. Within the context of Artificial Intelligence for Health, artificial intelligence experts will be supported to acquire new skills specific to the health sector. The program has 3 focus points. The first is exploratory research to accelerate medical research to advance disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Global health knowledge is also important to better understand mortality and care information to protect against health crises. Thirdly, the program attaches importance to ensuring health equality in order to deliver health services to everyone.
